Viking Fire Line is made from Samson's Tec-12 (Technora Aramid Fiber) with Critical temperature of 450º F and melting or char point at 900º F, you will never have to worry about melting this line to your winch drum. The Fire Line in 3/8" diameter only weighs 4.6 lbs per 100' and it's extremely low stretch makes this line much safer and easier to use than steel cable.

Viking Combo Line is made from two different material, the first 25' covering the bottom of the drum is Viking's Red colored heat resistant Fire Line, the second part is made from Samson's 12-Strand AmSteel Blue.
